Falkensteiner opens hotel in Belgrade

BEGLRADE (Serbia), December 7 (SeeNews) – Austria's Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group (FMTG) opened a four-star hotel in the Serbian capital Belgrade to cater for business clients and conventions, local media reported on Friday.

Falkensteiner opens hotel in Belgrade

The Falkensteiner Hotel Belgrade has 170 rooms, six conference rooms and an underground car park, the company said on the hotel website.

The futuristic-looking building was designed by Belgrade-born Boris Podrecca, a renowned European architect, hotel director Aleksandar Vasiljevic said as quoted by Ekapija (www.ekapija.com).

FMTG, active in hotel management and development, is focused on central Europe. In Serbia the group operates spa Hotel Stara Planina in the eastern part of the country. At the end of 2011, FMTG had over 1,540 employees from 30 different countries and a turnover of 128.6 million euro ($165.8 million).
