The grant will be allocated through the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF), Autoceste FBiH said in a press release on Monday.

The project will include the construction of a 35-kilometre dual-lane highway, including the 11-kilometre Prenj tunnel.

The European Union is funding Corridor Vc with approximately 870 million euro in grants, covering assistance for the construction of 17 subsections and project preparation, Autoceste FBiH said.

Corridor Vc, about 700 km in length, connects the Adriatic port of Ploce in Croatia to Budapest in Hungary via Bosnia. Its section in Bosnia is some 340 km in length.
