The 1.4 million euro ($1.8 million) technical assistance project, funded by EU's IPA program, would involve the development of a new masterplan, comprising a feasibility study, cost-and-benefit analysis, environmental impact assessment and application for EU financing, the ministry said in a statement.

The project is very important for the future development of the city of Sisak and the Sisak-Moslavina county, as well as of the wider Zagreb region, assistant transport minister Oliver Kumric said.
