Erste's Croatian unit Q1 net profit up 8.3%

May 2 (SeeNews) - Croatia's Erste&Steiermaerkische Bank d.d., part of Austria's Erste Group, reported a consolidated net profit after minority interests of 65 million euro ($69.6 million) for the first quarter of 2024, up from a profit of 60 million euro in the prior-year period.

Net interest income rose 16.1% on the year to 108 million euro, while while net revenue from commissions and fees increased 10.7% to 31 million euro, Erste&Steiermaerkische Bank said a press release on Monday.

The overall assets of Erste&Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. stood at 15 billion euro at the end of March, up from 14.8 billion euro compared to the end of December 2023.

Excluding its subsidiaries, the bank reported a net profit of 58 million euro, up 9.4% on the year.

Erste&Steiermaerkische Bank is the parent company of the banking group which includes the following subsidiaries: Erste&Steiermaerkische S-Leasing, Erste Nekretnine, Erste Bank AD Podgorica in Montenegro, Erste Card Club group, and Izbor Nekretnina.
