Erste's Croatian unit grows net profit 55% in 2023

March 18 (SeeNews) - Croatia's Erste&Steiermaerkische Bank d.d., part of Austria's Erste Group, reported on Monday a consolidated net profit of the bank and its subsidiaries before minority interests of 241 million euro ($262 million) for last year, up from 156 million euro in 2022.

Net interest income rose to 410 million euro in 2023 from 282 million euro in 2022, while while net revenue from commissions and fees increased to 125 million euro from 117 million euro, Erste&Steiermaerkische Bank said a press release.

The overall assets of Erste&Steiermaerkische Bank d.d. stood at 13.3 billion euro at the end of December, down 2.7% on the year. The total assets of the group amounted to 14.8 billion euro, 1.5% lower compared to end-2022.

Erste&Steiermaerkische Bank is the parent company of the banking group which includes the following subsidiaries: Erste&Steiermaerkische S-Leasing, Erste Nekretnine, Erste Bank AD Podgorica in Montenegro, Erste Card Club group, Erste Group IT HR and Izbor Nekretnina.
