EBRD Mulls Lending 32.5 Mln Euro to Albania’s Tirana East Gate To Build Shopping Mall

October 27 (SeeNews) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is considering lending 32.5 million euro ($40.35 million) to Albania’s real estate company Tirana East Gate for the construction of a shopping mall near the capital Tirana, EBRD said.

Tirana East Gate is a special purpose company to be set up especially for the implementation of this project, EBRD said in a statement posted on its website.

The total cost of the project is estimated at 50 million euro. The shopping mall will be built on an area of 71,000 square meters, including parking lots. It will have a gross build up area of 50,253 square metres, EBRD said.

Tirana East Gate will be owned by Mane TCI, a Tirana-based real estate development and investment company, which is fully owned by individual Samir Mane through his private holding company Balfin, EBRD said.

EBRD has invested more than 400 million euro in Albania since early 1990s in different sectors, including infrastructure, the financial sector and the private corporate sector.
