February 29 (SeeNews) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Thursday it is considering providing a 2 million euro ($2.2 million) loan to Sparkasse Bank [SAJ:ABSB], the Bosnian unit of Austrian group Steiermaerkische Sparkasse, to support residential green investments.
The loan proceeds of the loan would be used for on-lending to eligible sub-borrowers in the residential sector for investments supporting Green Economy Transition - eligible residential renewable energies and energy efficient technologies, the EBRD said in a project summary document.
The loan would be provided under the Western Balkans Green Economy Financing Facility III - REpower (WB GEFF III).
Sparkasse Bank's shares have not traded on the SASE in the past year.
