EBRD lending Raiffeisen Leasing Kosovo 5 mln euro to back SMEs

May 29 (SeeNews) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said on Wednesday it has approved a 5 million euro ($5.41 million) loan to Raiffeisen Leasing Kosovo for sub-leasing to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The financing is targeted towards investments that may improve SMEs’ competitiveness and compliance to European Union standards, the EBRD said in a press release. At least 70% on the lease investments will be used for green technologies.

The senior unsecured loan falls under EBRD’s Sustainable Reboot SME Programme, which provides SMEs in Kosovo diverse forms of financing for sustainable, EU-compliant investments.
