The funds are set to support energy-saving solutions, such as insulation, windows, heat pumps and solar panels, aiming to reduce gas emissions, the EBRD said in a press release on Tuesday.
The project is co-financed by the European Union (EU) and Japan.
Besides funding, Banka per Biznes will also receive technical assistance to help adapt its green lending strategy.
BPB was the seventh largest lender in terms of assets among 11 banks operating in Kosovo at the end of the first quarter, according to Kosovo Banking Association. It was established in 2001 by local private investors. In 2010, EBRD acquired 10% of the shares. Italian bank Banka di Cividale, Czech bank Moneta and 14 local businessmen own the remaining shares.
