EBRD approves 6 mln euro loan to N. Macedonia's KAM

December 11 (SeeNews) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said it has approved a 6 million euro ($6.5 million) loan to North Macedonia's discount supermarket chain operator KAM to support its investment plan.

The loan will be used for opening of new stores and upgrade of the existing stores and logistics centre, the EBRD said in a project summary document last week.

The loan will be provided to the company in two tranches.

Skopje-based KAM, established in 1999, operates 80 supermarkets in North Macedonia. The retailer also has stores in neighbouring Bulgaria and Kosovo.
