October 8 (SeeNews) - Romanian financial group BRD - Groupe Societe Generale [BSE:BRD] said that Dutch-based NN Group has increased its stake in the company to 5.01%.

NN Group's interest in BRD Societe Generale crossed the 5% threshold on September 27, the Romanian lender said in a bourse filing on Monday.

As at 8:20 CET on Tuesday, BRD Societe Generale shares traded at 14.28 lei ($3.3/3.0 euro), unchanged from their previous closing price on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The price would value a 5.01% stake in the lender at some 498.6 million lei.

BRD was the fourth largest lender by assets in Southeast Europe at the end of 2018, and the third biggest in Romania, according to the 2019 edition of SEE Top 100 Banks ranking published by SeeNews.
