October 12 (SeeNews) - Dutch-based AerCap, active in aircraft and engine leasing, trading and parts sales, said it has leased two new Airbus A319s to Slovenian air carrier Adria Airways.
AerCap signed six new lease agreements for aircraft in the third quarter 2009, the company said in a statement posted on its website.
In addition to the Adria Airways leases, the other four agreements were signed with U.S. company Frontier Airlines, the statement said.
The average term of the six lease agreements for new aircraft signed during the third quarter was 144 months, it added.
No further details were immediately available.
Adria Airways (www.adria.si) operates a fleet of three Airbus A320s, four Canadair Regional Jet CRJ900s, six Canadair Regional Jet CRJ200s, one Canadair Regional Jet CRJ100 and one Boeing B737-500, according to the latest data available on the carrier's website.
AerCap's portfolio consists of 290 aircraft and 83 engines. It has offices in Ireland, the U.S., China, Singapore and the UK.
