BELGRADE (Serbia), December 30 (SeeNews) – Insurer Dunav Osiguranje saw its share of the total premium income of Serbia's insurance sector fall to 25.9% at the end of September from 26.9% at the end of the first nine months of 2018, and the company remains leader in the sector, the central bank said.
Dunav Osiguranje generated a premium income of 20.431 billion dinars ($194.5 million/173.8 million euro) in the first nine months of 2019, up from 20.048 billion dinars, the largest premium income among Serbian insurers, the central bank, NBS, said in a report on the performance of the country's insurance sector.
Generali followed with 17.125 billion dinars of premium income, or 21.7% of the total, according to the report.
The capital adequacy ratio of Serbian life insurers stood at 252.5% at the end of September, while the total capital adequacy ratio of insurers amounted to 213.8%, NBS said.
