The retail chain's investments in Bulgaria increased by an annual 22% reaching nearly 8.2 million levs in the period under review, dm Bulgaria said in a statement published on Thursday.
Earlier this week, dm Bulgaria launched a mobile application and opened its 100th store in Bulgaria's capital, Sofia. It also opened a new site in Plovdiv. In total, seven new stores were opened across the country in the past fiscal year.
Besides store expansion, investments over the past fiscal year were made in developing the retailer's e-commerce channel, which launched in mid-September, as well as in employee training.
dm Bulgaria employed over 1,000 people as at the end of September, a 14% annual increase in headcount.
