Czech CE Industries offers 20.6 mln euro for 56% of Croatian shipyard Uljanik – report

November 9 (SeeNews) - Czech holding company CE Industries has sent a binding bid to the Croatian government and the ministries of finance and economy for the purchase of a 55.77% stake in Croatian shipyard Uljanik Brodogradnja 1856 for 155 million kuna ($20.6 million/20.6 million euro), Croatian media reported on Wednesday.

The bid has been sent at the beginning of this week and is valid for 45 days, the Jutarnji List daily reported.

By the time this article was published, the two ministries, the Czech company and Uljanik Brodogradnja 1856 have not responded to SeeNews e-mails seeking confirmation of the report.

Uljanik Brodogradnja 1856 has some 500 employees.

CE Industries recently acquired 81.83% of the equity capital of Croatian holding company Djuro Djakovic [ZSE:DDJH].
