Croatia's Zagrebacki Holding seeks advisor to draw up restructuring, divestiture plan - EBRD

The bank, which is set to finance the advisory services, said in a statement that expressions of interest for the contract, with a maximum budget of 298,200 euro ($380,354), exclusive of VAT, should be submitted by December 10.

A shortlist of qualified consultants will then be formally invited to submit proposals to advise the restructuring of the municipal company.

The assignment will be funded by the EBRD Shareholder Special Fund.

Zagrebacki Holding provides a wide range of services, including natural gas and water supply and collecting solid waste in the city of Zagreb. The company consists of 18 branches with a total of around 12,000 employees.

The main objective of the assignment is to improve the efficiency of the company’s services through the use of the private sector and a rationalisation of its structure, through targeted privatisation of individual business units or subsidiaries and improved contract arrangements with the city of Zagreb.

The central task of the consultant will be to provide Zagrebacki Holding with the required guidance and advice relating to the preparation of an effective scheme for utilising private sector participation in the operations of its municipal services.
