March 9 (SeeNews) - Croatia's shipyard Brodogradiliste Viktor Lenac [ZSE:VLEN] said its consolidated net profit soared to 40.6 million kuna ($5.7 million/ 5.4 million euro) in 2022 from 18.9 million kuna in the previous year.
Operating revenue grew to 637.7 million kuna last year from 298.6 million in 2021, while operating costs rose to 580.3 million kuna from 277.1 million kuna, the company said last week in a filing to the Zagreb bourse.
Sales revenue went up to 615.7 million kuna from 256.2 million kuna.
The company's largest shareholder is Italian shipbuilding group Palumbo with an equity stake of 49.7%.
Viktor Lenac's shares traded 5.03% higher at 3.34 euro intraday on Thursday on the Zagreb bourse, as they were the second biggest daily gainer after shipping company Alpha Adriatic Group [ZSE:ULPL], which added 6.56%.
