Croatia's Valamar Riviera repurchases 24,471 own shares

September 25 (SeeNews) - Croatian hospitality group Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] said on Wednesday it has increased its own shareholding to 2.9359% of the issued capital, from 2.9165%.

On September 23, the company bought back 9,608 of its own shares, representing a stake of 0.0076%, Valamar Riviera said in a filing to the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE).

The following day, it purchased a further 14,863 own units, representing a stake of 0.0118%.

Following the transaction, the company holds 3,700,059 of its own shares.

Valamar's shares traded up 1.37% at 37 kuna by 1135 CET on Wednesday, after closing flat at 36.50 kuna on Tuesday.

The hotel operator owns five brands: Valamar Collection, Valamar Collection Resorts, Valamar Hotels and Resorts, Sunny and Camping Adriatic. Valamar Riviera operates 34 hotels and resorts and 15 camping resorts in several attractive destinations along the Adriatic coast – from Istria and the islands of Krk and Rab to Dubrovnik.
