Croatia's trade gap shrinks 5.6% y/y in Jan-Oct

December 8 (SeeNews) - Croatia's trade deficit declined to 14.180 billion euro ($15.3 billion) in the first 10 months of this year, compared with a gap of 15.029 billion euro in the same period of 2022, the country's statistical office said on Friday.

Exports fell 4.1% on the year to 19.026 billion euro, while imports declined 4.8% to 33.207 billion euro, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a statement, quoting preliminary data.

Croatia's exports to the European Union (EU) declined by 4.7% year-on-year in the review period, to 12.974 billion euro, whereas the country's imports from the EU rose by 3.4% to 25.274 billion euro.

Croatia's trade deficit rose by 76% to 17.6 billion euro in 2022.
