Croatia's Rijeka sells for 85 mln kuna (11 mln euro) landplot for planned bus station

September 19 (SeeNews) - The Croatian city of Rijeka and its fully-owned subsidiary in charge of parking lots, Rijeka Plus, signed a deal to sell for 85 mln kuna ($11.3 million/11.3 million euro) a land plot designated for a bus terminal complex worth an estimated 70 million euro to local real estate development company Best in Parking – Razvoj, the city authorities said.

The deal for the sale of the 14,810 square metres landplot in the centre of Rijeka was signed on Saturday, according a press release published to the website of the city authorities.

The Zabica bus terminal is planned to have at least 14 platforms for buses, a parking lot for 800 cars, and up to 8,000 square metres gross area of commercial and office space.

The buyer is due to pay 70% of the price within 30 days after signing of the deal and the remainder within 30 days after obtaining a building permit for the project.

According to data from the court register of Croatian companies, the buyer is owned by a local real eastate company, which in turn is owned by Austrian company Best in Parking.
