Through the acquisition, Professio Energia pursues its strategy for the development of more renewable energy projects in the country and the region, the company said in a filing to the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE).

The financial details related to the takeover were not disclosed.

Liburana develops wind energy projects. Its portfolio has a combined installed capacity of 100 MW, according to the filing.

Professio Energia was owned by Dalekovod until January, when the power transmission equipment manufacturer sold it for 115 million kuna ($17.1 million/15.4 million euro).

The company is now owned by the trade unions, according to the statement.
