Electricity production in December was lower than November’s 1,596 GWh, the country's statistical office said in a monthly report.
Electricity imports fell to 999 GWh in December from 1,059 GWh in the same month of 2022, whereas exports declined to 856 GWh from 968 GWh.
On a monthly comparison basis, electricity imports rose 37% in December, while exports went up 6.6%.
Electricity made available to the domestic market amounted to 1,654 GWh in December, up from 1,511 GWh in November, and higher compared to 1,613 GWh in December 2022.
