Croatia's main equity indices extend winning streak to fourth day

December 22 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) rose for the fourth straight session amidst a higher turnover, bourse data showed on Wednesday.

The bourse's total trading turnover reached 12.7 million kuna ($1.8 million/1.7 million euro) from 4.4 million kuna on Tuesday. The 18-share equity CROBEX increased 0.83% to finish at 1,961.01 points.

The narrower index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, ended 0.63% higher at 1,152.03 points.

Shares of closed-end investment fund Slavonski Zatvoreni Alternativni Investicijski Fond (SZAIF) [ZSE:SLPF], which is not part of the indices, contributed 7.2 million kuna to the total turnover. It was also the biggest daily turnover as its shares rose 7.14% to end at 24 kuna.

Shares of blue chip food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] fell 1.23% to finish at 640 kuna in a turnover of 1.1 million kuna.

Shares of hotel owner and operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] rose 1.37% to close at at 29.70 kuna.

In lower turnovers, shares of ICT solutions provider Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] surged 3.07%, hotel owner and operator Arena Hospitality [ZSE:ARNT] rose 3.48%, and shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] went up 1.60%.

Preferred shares of diversified holding company Adris [ZSE:ADRS2] gained 0.56% and index heavyweight Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] added 0.29%.
