Croatia's main equity indices extend gains

December 8 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) kept on rising for a third straight session, supported to gains in Adris and Valamar, bourse data showed on Thursday.

The 19-share equity CROBEX rose 0.29% to finish at 1,924.57 points. The narrower index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, added 0.13% to close at 1,133.49 points.

Software developer SPAN [ZSE:SPAN], which is a member of the broader index, was the only company with a turnover above the one million kuna mark. Its shares appreciated 4.18% to end at 274 kuna in a turnover of 2.1 million kuna ($294,000/278,000 euro).

Hotel operator Plava Laguna [ZSE:PLAG] ranked second by turnover with 925,000 kuna, as its shares closed flat at 1,850 kuna. They are also part of the broader index.

Among the blue chips, preferred shares of holding company Adris [ZSE:ADRS2] gained 0.55% to finish at 367 kuna in a turnover of 332,300 kuna, while shares of hotel owner and manager Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] increased 1.04% to close at 29.10 kuna in a turnover of 272,000 kuna.

The bourse's regular trading turnover fell to 7.2 million kuna from 29 million kuna on Wednesday, when it was boosted by a 23.4 million kuna turnover with government bonds issued in 2020 and maturing in 2025.
