October 20 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) ended lower on Thursday for a second day in a row amidst losses in most of the blue chips, as turnover was more than halved, bourse data showed.

The bourse's total trading turnover plunged to 2.7 million kuna ($351,000/358,00 euro) from 6.2 million kuna on Wednesday as no one share registered a turnover above the one million kuna level.

The 22-share CROBEX fell 0.53% to finish at 1,926.21 points. The narrower index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, declined 0.64% to close at 1,142.51 points.

Food producer Cakovecki Mlinovi [ZSE:CKML], which is not part of the main indices, was the most traded company on Wednesday with turnover of 766,800 kuna. Its shares ended flat at 73.50 kuna.

ICT solutions provider Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] ranked second by turnover with some 560,000 kuna. Its shares dropped 0.93% to 1,600 kuna.

Shares of another blue chip, food and pharmaceuticals company Podravka [ZSE:PODR], dropped 1.31% to finish at 602 kuna in a turnover of 287,300 kuna. The company announced on Thursday that it plans to invest 104.8 million kuna in a new unit to ensure own production of pasta, a strategic product for its instant soups.

Consumer goods distributor Atlantic Grupa [ZSE:ATGR] shed 1.14% to close at 346 kuna in a turnover of 213,500 kuna.
