Croatia's Magma Turns to 9-Mo Cons Unaudited Net Loss – Table

ZAGREB (Croatia), Novemver 3 (SeeNews) – Croatian blue-chip toys and clothing retailer Magma reported on Monday a consolidated unaudited net loss of 38.1 million kuna ($6.8 million/5.3 million euro) through September versus a net profit of 21.4 million kuna a year earlier.

"The loss was due to a fall in sales of Magma's frandschise fashion stores and weaker sales results in Hungary, Slovenia and Serbia," the company said in a statement to the Zagreb Stock Exchange.

Magma is active in the production, distribution and retailing of toys, clothing and sports equipment. It distributes consumer goods like products under the trademarks Haribo and Kellogg's, develops its own fashion brands and is franchisee of some top international labels. It employs 1,800.

The company issued the following details in a separate statement to the bourse:

Magma's shares were traded at 95 kuna  by 0822 GMT on Monday, slightly up from 94.99 kuna on Friday.
