Croatia's Luka Rijeka posts 6% drop in cons net profit in 2023

February 27 (SeeNews) - Croatian port operator Luka Rijeka [ZSE:LKRI] said on Tuesday its consolidated net profit fell to 7.28 million euro ($7.9 million) last year, from 7.72 million euro in 2022.

The port operator handled 6.2 million tonnes of cargo in 2023, down 1.0% year-on-year, Luka Rijeka said in a consolidated financial statement filed to the Zagreb bourse.

Consolidated EBITDA shrank 18% to 5.8 million euro, while EBIT declined 38% to 2.6 million euro.

Total revenue increased by 9.0% year-on-year to 39.7 million euro in 2023, while total costs rose 13% to 32.5 million euro.

Luka Rijeka's shares traded flat at 8.15 euro on the Zagreb bourse by 1255 local time on Tuesday.

Rijeka, situated in the northern part of the Kvarner Bay, is the largest seaport in Croatia.
