“Positive movements on the labor market, recorded since mid-2021, still continue,” the Institute of Economics Zagreb (EIZ) said on Thursday in a monthly report on labour demand measured by its EIZ Online Vacancy Index (OVI).

The OVI index points to a strong labour demand, it added. The most sought after occupations in October 2022 were salesperson, teacher, waiter, cook and accountant.

Some 48.8% of job advertisements offered fixed-term employment, while 46.1% offered permanent employment.

Advertisements offering the option of work from home had “a stabile share” of 2.2% of all advertisements last month, the institute said.

Around 3.5% of advertisements targeted pensioners.
