These transformers, operating at a voltage level of 380 kV, will be used in the Jafurah gas field's unconventional development efforts, one of Aramco's most significant projects aimed at aiding the energy transition, Koncar said in its monthly newsletter.

The Jafurah Basin, located in the Middle East, spans 17,000 square killometres and is the region's most extensive shale gas field.

Additionally, Koncar – Instrument Transformers will deliver 18 current instrument transformers, operating at a voltage level of 380 kV, in April, with the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) being the final recipient, Koncar Elektroindustrija said.

These transformers will be installed within substations that link 380 kV transmission lines between Afif and Mahd Al Dahb in Saudi Arabia's central region.

The value of the deals wasn't disclosed.

Koncar's shares traded 0.77% lower at 258 euro ($275) intraday on Monday on the Zagreb bourse.
