Croatia’s Jan Spider Opens 15 Mln Kuna (2.1 Mln Euro) Tea Packaging Facility - Media

ZAGREB (Croatia), December 8 (SeeNews) – Croatian tea processing company Jan Spider has opened a new tea packaging facility worth 15 million kuna ($2.7 million/2.1 million euro), a Croatian daily reported.

The new production line will have an annual packaging capacity of 400 tonnes of tea, the Business daily reported on Saturday.

Company officials were not available to comment.

Jan Spider produces 1,100 tonnes of tea per year, shipping 60% of the output to the European Union.

Jan Spider’s total revenue is expected to rise 30% to 34 million kuna in 2008, Business also reported.

Jan Spider, established in 1990, is located in the municipality of Pitomaca, in northern Croatia, 120 kilometres east of the capital Zagreb.
