May 27 (SeeNews) - Croatia's insurance market is expected to grow at a balanced compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.3% over the next decade, reaching 2.6 billion euro ($2.8 billion) by 2034, insurer Allianz said on Monday.
The total premium income of Croatia's insurance market last year fell 1.1% to 1.7 billion euro, Allianz said in its Global Insurance Report 2024.
In the life insurance segment, the total premium income in 2023 fell for a second year in a row, Allianz said.
In terms of non-life insurance, the total premium income in Croatia in 2023 rose by a "strong" 6.6%, with the increase being partly driven by higher prices, Allianz said. The premium income in the property and casualty insurance segment is now almost four times higher compared to the life insurance segment.
