On a monthly comparison basis, Croatia's consumer price index (CPI) went up 1.3% in October, following an increase of 1.5% in September, the Bureau of Statistics said in a monthly inflation report.
The prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the biggest weight in the consumer basket, of 25.93%, rose by 19.7% year-on-year in October.
The prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel prices, which have a 16.87% weight, grew by 16.1% on the year in October, while transportation costs surged 11.5%.
Croatia's average annual inflation accelerated to 2.6% last year from 0.1% in 2020.
