Croatia's HT increases own shareholdings via buyback

August 24 (SeeNews) - Croatia's biggest telecommunications operator, Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT-R-A], said on Thursday it currently holds 18,943 shares, representing 0.02313% of its issued share capital, following the launch of a share buyback programme on July 3.

On August 21, HT acquired 377 shares at 178.94 kuna ($28.5/24.1 euro) apiece. A day later it bought a further 262 shares at 179.24 kuna apiece, while on August 23 it repurchased 26 shares for 179.47 kuna each, the company said in a filing with the Zagreb Stock Exchange.

Prior to launching the share buyback programme, HT owned 2,966 of its shares.

HT's share capital of 9.8 billion kuna is divided into 81,888,535 shares without nominal value.

On June 28, the telco said it will launch a share buyback programme on July 3, targeting to purchase up to 2,500,000 of its own shares by April 20, 2021. Hrvatski Telekom will spend up to 500 million kuna under the programme.

Hrvatski Telekom serves 1.0 million fixed lines, 2.2 million mobile subscribers, and 763,000 broadband connections.
