Croatia's HEP to spend up to 200 mln euro to upgrade three HPPs - media

The upgrade will target the Varazdin, Cakovec and Dubrava power stations, in Croatia's north, news portal business.hr quoted HEP's top manager, Zlatko Koracevic, as saying.

The upgrade of the Varazdin power plant should cost around 100 million euro and should be completed within the next four years, Koracevic said, adding that the modernisation of the other two power stations would require less funding as they were not as old.

The planned upgrade should increase Varazdin's installed capacity by some 18% from the current 94 megawatts.
