September 25 (SeeNews) - The Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR) said it signed on Wednesday two loan agreements with the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) worth a combined 250 million euro ($275 million).
The first loan - of 200 million euro - is intended to finance projects of micro, small and medium-sized firms and public sector companies in Croatia, aimed at keeping jobs and enhancing the living conditions in rural and urban areas, HBOR said in a statement.
The loans will have an interest rates of less than 2% and maturities of 14 to 17 years.
The second loan, of 50 million euro, will go to finance the project of Clinical Hospital Center Rijeka (KBC Rijeka) for the construction of a children's hospital and a gynaecology and birthing clinic, the statement said.
HBOR said it has so far signed with CEB six credit arrangements worth a total of 348 million euro, financing more than 1,300 public and private sector projects. The cooperation of the two development banks began in 2001.
