November 28 (SeeNews) - Croatia's economic output rose by a real 2.8% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2023, as compared to 5.5% growth in the third quarter of 2022 and a revised 2.6% increase in the second quarter of this year, the statistical office said on Tuesday, quoting non-adjusted data.

In seasonally adjusted terms, gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 0.3% in the third quarter of 2023 compared to the previous quarter and by 3.0% in real terms compared to the third quarter of 2022, the statistical office said in a first estimate of Croatia's economic performance in the July-September period.

The first estimate shows that the quarterly gross value added (GVA) increased in real terms by 1.7% in the third quarter of 2023 compared to the same quarter of 2022, based on non-adjusted data.

The increase in GVA was mainly driven by an increase in real value added in wholesale and retail trade, transportation, storage, accommodation and food service activities, and professional, scientific, technical, administrative and support service activities.
