September 6 (SeeNews) - Croatian blue-chip ICT solutions provider Ericsson Nikola Tesla [ZSE:ERNT] said on Wednesday it signed in July and August several contracts worth more than 4 million euro ($4.3 million) in the fields of digital transformation, national security as well as upgrade, expansion and maintenance of mobile telecommunications networks.
A contract was signed with the Croatian national research and education network Carnet that includes the application of digital technology in teaching as part of the eSchools project, Ericsson Nikola Tesla said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse.
As part of this project, digital wireless weather stations are installed at school locations in all counties in the Adriatic country. The data from the weather stations is transferred to Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s eEnvironment digital platform that the company supplies for the purpose of collecting, processing and visualizing environmental data.
The company also signed a deal with the state geodetic administration for the provision of support services for the digital geodetic study at the OneStop-Shop, a unique service point for accessing Croatia's land register and cadastre data. Moreover, a deal for upgrade and maintenance of the infrastructure cadastre system was signed.
Outside Croatia, Ericsson Nikola Tesla signed with the interior affairs ministry of Montenegro a contract for the maintenance of the 112 Centre, a single point for all calls in emergency situations in Montenegro.
“For operators in neighbouring countries we contracted new works related to modernization, expansion and maintenance of mobile telecommunications networks,” it said without elaborating.
Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s shares traded flat at 209 euro intraday on Wednesday on the Zagreb bourse.
