September 24 (SeeNews) - Croatian telecommunications equipment maker Ericsson Nikola Tesla said on Thursday it has signed a 32 million kuna ($6.5 million/4.4 million euro) deal related to the expansion of the 3G network of Bosnian telecoms carrier BH Telecom and to the upgrade of its core infrastructure.
"The contract covers the delivery, installation and integration of the equipment, i.e. it is based on a turn-key principle. [...] The realisation of the above projects starts immediately," the Croatian company said in a statement filed to the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
State-owned BH Telecom is the largest of the three telecoms operating in post-war Bosnia, which comprises a Muslim-Croat Federation and a Serb Republic. The other two Bosnian telecoms are HT Mostar, which is active in the Federation, and Telekom Srpske, which operates in the Serb Republic.
BH Telecom (www.bhtelecom.ba) provides fixed-line and mobile voice services and ADSL Internet access services.
Ericsson Nikola Tesla shares were trading up 0.01% at 1,500 kuna by 1021 GMT on Thursday.
