Revenues from broadband services totalled 1.04 billion kuna ($163.7 million/138.8 million euro) in the second quarter, up 6.14% compared to the previous quarter and 10.59% higher year on year, data posted on the HAKOM website shows.
There were 1.1 million fixed broadband connections at the end of June, up 1.86% on the quarter and 6.68% higher on the year.
Copper connections were subscribed to by 446,047 users, down 0.73% on the quarter and 2.89% lower on the year. Mobile broadband connections (including UMTS, HSDPA) rose 3.93% compared to the January-March period and 4.27% year-on-year to 3.4 million.
The number of Internet users via optical network FTTx rose by 7.94% on the quarter and by 76.76% on the year to 64,719 through June.
Croatia has a population of around 4.3 million.
