Croatia's End-July Foreign Debt Rises 13.6% Y/Y - RBA

October 7 (SeeNews) - Croatia's foreign debt rose to 35.44 billion euro ($48.2 billion) at the end of July, up by 13.6% on the year, commercial bank Raiffeisenbank Austria Zagreb (RBA) said on Tuesday.

In July Croatia's foreign debt inceased by 152 million euro, RBA said in a daily note quoting data from Croatia's central bank.

Companies generated the biggest part of the foreign debt, 44.8% or 15.88 billion euro, which represents a 31.6% rise year-on-year and 500.1 million euro more than at the end of June, RBA said.

The banks' external debt totalled 8.34 billion euro at the end of July, falling by 349.5 million euro from the end of June and by 869 million euro year-on-year.The banks generated 23.5% of Croatia's foreign debt.

The Croatian government's foreign debt totalled 6.64 billion euro at the end of July. It generated 18.7% of the foreign debt.
