ZAGREB (Croatia), October 30 (SeeNews) – Croatia's Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Damir Polancec resigned on Friday following calls from the opposition and the media that he step down in the wake of a series of corruption scandals in the European Union candidate country, news agency Reuters reported.
"He has resigned," a government source told Reuters.
Reuters also said that Polancec has called a news conference for 1000 GMT.
