March 4 (SeeNews) - Croatia's consumer confidence index fell by 0.8 percentage points month-on-month in February but improved by 6.8 percentage points compared to the same month of 2023, central bank data showed.
The index tracking consumer expectations went down 0.3 percentage points on a monthly comparison basis in February, while in annual terms it rose by 9.8 points, according to figures published by the Croatian central bank on Thursday.
The consumer sentiment index increased by 0.8 percentage points month-on-month and added 6.8 percentage points year-on-year in February.
The consumers’ opinion about the development of the general economic situation in Croatia over the past 12 months improved by 1.7 percentage points month on-month and was higher by 10.7 points year-on-year in February.
Regarding their expectations about the economy in the next 12 months, consumers were more optimistic in February than they had been a month earlier, with the index up 1.6 points. Compared to February 2023, the index measuring the expectations about the economic situation advanced 13.3 percentage points.
