The index tracking consumer expectations went up 3.8 percentage points on a monthly comparison basis last month, while in annual terms it rose by 16.1 points, according to figures published by the Croatian central bank last week.
The consumer sentiment index increased by 1.6 percentage points month-on-month and by 6.2 percentage points year-on-year in November.
The consumers’ opinion about the development of the general economic situation in Croatia over the past 12 months improved by 2.8 percentage points month on-month and was higher by 7.0 points year-on-year in November.
Regarding their expectations about the economy in the next 12 months, consumers were more optimistic in November than they had been a month earlier, with the index up 4.5 points. Compared to November 2022, the index measuring the expectations about the economic situation advanced by 17.8 percentage points.
