December 1 (SeeNews) - Croatia's competition authority said on Friday it opened an investigation into food producer Cakovecki Mlinovi [ZSE:CKML] and fodder producer Tvornica Stocne Hrane over their pricing practices and on suspicion of a cartel.
Based on data provided by 17 wholesalers for the period from 2019 to 2022, the competition authority, AZTN, found that only Cakovecki Mlinovi and Tvornica Stocne Hrane had set identical purchase price for wheat of all five classes in 2020, 2021 and 2022, AZTN said in a press release.
AZTN also said it searched the premises of the two companies.
Shares of Cakovecki Mlinovi last traded on the Zagreb bourse on Thursday ending flat at 10.50 euro ($11.4). They are part of the main share index, the CROBEX.
