Croatia’s Cakovecki Mlinovi 9-mo profit up 13%

November 2 (SeeNews) - Croatian food producer Cakovecki Mlinovi Group [ZSE:CKML] said its consolidated net profit in the first nine months of 2023 amounted to 6.8 million euro ($7.2 million), up 12.8% on the year.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) reached 13.2 million euro, up 15.7% on the year, Cakovecki Mlinovi said in a filing to the Zagreb bourse on Tuesday.

Revenue increased 5.7% to 150 million euro in the first nine months of 2023.

Operating costs rose 5.3% on the year to 137.4 million euro.

The Cakovecki Mlinovi group has two strategic business segments: trade, which includes retail and wholesale trade of food and non-food assortment; and food, which includes the production of flour, bakery products and cooking oils.

At the end of September its trade unit operated 436 stores located in northwestern Croatia, Kvarner and the island of Krk.

The group had 1,844 employees at the end of September.

Cakovecki Mlinovi’s shares last traded on Tuesday, ending 0.97% lower at 10.20 euro. They are part of the main CROBEX equity index of the Zagreb bourse.
