Croatia's building permits down 8.5% y/y in March

May 15 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Croatia fell 8.5% on the year to 1,108 in March, the statistical office said on Tuesday.

The number of permits issued for buildings declined 12.5% year-on-year to 934 in March, while the number of permits for civil engineering projects rose 21.7% to 174, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a monthly report.

Out of all permits issued in March, 900 covered new construction projects, while 208 were issued for reconstruction works.

Based on the number of permits issued in March, 1,977 dwellings are planned to be built, up 8.3% on the year.
