March 20 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Croatia fell 6% on the year to 881 in January, the statistical office said.
The number of permits issued for buildings dipped 1.1% year-on-year to 780 in January, while the number of permits for civil engineering projects dropped 31.8% to 101, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said in a monthly report on Friday.
Out of all permits issued in January, 695 covered new construction projects, while 186 were issued for reconstruction works.
Based on the number of permits issued in January, 1,569 dwellings are planned to be built, up 12.4% on the year.
