Croatia's budget deficit shrinks to 3.5 bln kuna (465 mln euro) in H1

September 30 (SeeNews) - Croatia's budget deficit stood at 3.5 billion kuna ($454 million/465 million euro) in the first half of this year, equal to 0.7% of the gross domestic product, the finance ministry said.

Budget revenue amounted to 79.3 billion kuna, up 7% on the year, while budget expenditure totalled 82.8 billion kuna, down 1.4% on the year, finance minster Darko Primorac told a weekly cabinet meeting as seen in a video published on the government website.

Primorac did not provide comparative figures for the year-ago preiod, but according to the finance ministry's report about the execution of the state budget, published on the website of the government on Thursday, the budget deficit in the like period of 2021 was 9.846 billion kuna, or 2.3% of GDP.

The country targets a budget deficit of 13.675 billion kuna, or 2.9% of GDP, this year.
