The Trogir-based shipyard has also laid the keel for a second chemical tanker commissioned by Trogir Maritime, the government said in a statement issued after prime minister Zoran Milanovic attended the ceremony.
The tankers will each have a 49,500 deadweight tonnage capacity.
Brodotrogir, owned by local company Kermas Energija, said earlier that Trogir Maritime will lease the two tankers to Norway's Blystad Group.
