On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices dipped 0.2% in November, after growing 0.4% in October, the Bureau of Statistics said in a press release.
In November, prices for food, beverages, and tobacco surged by 7.4% annually. Service costs increased by 6.9%, industrial non-food products (excluding energy) saw a 4.8% rise, while energy prices fell 3.4%.
The statistical office will release final inflation data for November on December 15.
Measured by the EU-harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP), prices of goods and services for personal consumption in Croatia increased by an average 5.5% year-on-year in November. On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged down by an estimated 0.4% in November.
Croatia, which joined the euro area on January 1, reported a 6.7% annual increase in EU-harmonised prices in October.
